Car Stereo Speakers

Monday, November 8th, 2010

Are you considering new car stereo speakers for your vehicle? Nothing is more impressive than a sleek new car with a blaring audio. Rarely can you buy a set of wheels with great sounds built-in. No matter how pricey your car is, it would most likely fail on the audio aspect.

This is quite forgivable as car manufacturers don’t really focus their resources making your car stereo speakers as perfect as you want it to be. They almost always leave that detail to the audio experts. So what you do is you take out the built-in ones and replace them with a better set. The problem is, which one is going to be perfect for your car?

There would be many considerations indeed before you get to arrive at the perfect match. For one, you have the size of compartments of your car to consider. Then there’s the usability of the car stereo speakers to the existing audio system of your vehicle. When you go out there to buy a set, be sure that you’re getting yourself a perfect match in terms of size and plugs. Consult your car’s manual for more information.

If you can remove the speakers of your car to inspect it, do so. Otherwise, just content yourself with what it says on the manual. Taking out the speakers allows you to measure its depth, width, length, and the works. You’re going to need these to find the ideal replacements.

Often times, car stereo speakers have front and deck parts. The front goes anywhere from 4 to 6 inches while the deck measures about 6 x 9 inches or so. If you want, you can also add a set of coaxial speakers to the front doors. Such a set is composed of two speakers tasked to play the mid-range mid-bass frequency in one and the high frequency in the other one.
